Abstract

ABSTRACT The project research work aimed in community health assessment of mosquito borne diseases in Talata mafara community. Four major study location were randomly selected which include filin yan sanda, sabon fegi and fakon idi. The research used basic tools guidelines of health risk assessment published by Australian /New Zealand standard for risk management 4360: 2004. The research considered the average number of individuals mosquito. To spp catched per trap. Mechanical methods using mosquito nets and chemical knock down method were used simultaneously, mosquito spp identification pictorial chart was used for paper identification. Simple travelling monocular microscope was used for more proper identification and conformation in addition with simple laboratory hand lens. The study period span 2-3 weeks and this collected with respect to the study locations showed valuable results as this. In filin yan sanda the main number of Anopheles mosquito spp collected was a, hence considered this highest score. The lowest score showed in Acdes mosquito spp which are two, hence recovered the lowest score. The sameopheles mosquitoes recorded the highest breeding potential 25 (25-32). The lowest breeding potential showed by Aedes mosquito spp 13 (9-17). For the health risk assessment all the four mosquitoes spps, Anopheles (25) culex (18), Aedes (13) and mansonia spp (0) faded in the low health risk assessment score class (less than 50 per trap). The understand the level of risk to community health and wellbeing in the community. Anopheles mosquito spp scored the potential level (22-29), culex mosquito spp score possible level of health risk and nuisance scored / biting to community (14-21). And Aedes mosquito spp scored the unlikely level (5-13). The research came to understood the highest level of health risk and nuisance due to anopheles mosquito related diseases with is malaria infection and the lowest level of health risk and nuisance to community by mosquito associated disease observed in aedes mosquitoes spps which are yellow fever, zika fever, chikungunya and elephantiasis. Key words:- health risk, mosquitoes spp, Talata mafara metropolis
