DEVELOPMENT OF WEB BROWSER INTEGRATED WITH LECTURE TIME ALERT SYSTEM
Abstract
This study focuses on the design and implementation of a web-based lecture alert system that is integrated with a web browser to improve communication and reduce missed classes for both students and lecturers. The motivation for this project is to mitigate problems caused by outdated schedules, impromptu changes, and a lack of efficient notification methods. The system will enable users to easily access their lecture schedules and receive timely, real-time alerts directly to their phones via SMS for upcoming classes, which can include information on venue, day, date, and time. The system is designed to be accessible on any device that can run a web browser, making it compatible and convenient for all users. Key components include a database to store the lecture schedule and user information, and a backend system built with technologies such as HTML, PHP, and MySQL. The backend will interface with an SMS API to send out alerts, creating a time-triggered application that provides a more reliable and efficient method for managing lecture information. The core functionality ensures that users are promptly notified of any changes, thereby enhancing overall academic efficiency and reducing scheduling conflicts.
