DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EXPERT SYSTEM FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF ULCER AND APPENDICITIS
Abstract
Abstract
This project focuses on the design and implementation of an expert system for diagnosing ulcer and appendicitis. The system assists users and healthcare practitioners by analyzing symptoms and providing intelligent recommendations. A rule-based knowledge system was adopted using if-then logic to simulate expert reasoning. The system improves access to medical guidance, reduces diagnostic delays, and supports effective healthcare delivery, especially in areas with limited medical professionals.
