Abstract

ABSTRACT This research study explores the motivation of workers in Access Bank, investigating the leadership styles and associated employee performance in organizational settings. Using structured questionnaires and an extensive field survey conducted in Yola North local government area of Adamawa State, the study examines how motivational factors impact productivity and job satisfaction among bank employees. The findings highlight the role of effective leadership in fostering employee motivation and the adverse effects of corruption and poor leadership norms on performance. Additionally, data presented in statistical distributions revealed diverse employee experiences and the importance of motivational techniques tailored to individual needs. The study concludes that Access Bank could enhance workforce productivity through a balance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivational strategies while fostering leadership accountability and fairness. Recommendations for improving organizational performance through effective policies are also provided.
