MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION IN OLASCO FILM PRODUCTION
Abstract
This research examines the management and operational dynamics of Olasco Film Production, an indigenous Nigerian film company operating within Nollywood’s challenging environment. The study investigates how the company sustains creative output amid financial limitations, logistical difficulties, piracy, and regulatory pressures. Using qualitative methods such as interviews, field observations, and secondary sources, the research analyses Olasco’s management structure, operational strategies, and coping mechanisms. Findings reveal that despite operating with an informal structure, Olasco employs adaptive and resourceful strategies that enhance efficiency and continuity. The study concludes that effective film production depends not only on creativity but on sound managerial and operational practices.
