AUTOMATED EATERY ORDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract
# **Abstract**
This research paper presents the design, development, and evaluation of a comprehensive automated order management system for the modern restaurant industry. The system addresses prevalent operational inefficiencies, such as manual order transcription errors, communication delays between the front-of-house and kitchen, and prolonged customer wait times. Our key contribution is an integrated digital platform that seamlessly connects customer ordering interfaces, real-time kitchen display systems (KDS), and automated payment processing into a single, cohesive workflow. The implemented solution leverages a cloud-based client-server architecture, enabling robust data synchronization and scalability. A pilot study and simulation analysis demonstrate that the system significantly reduces order errors by approximately 40% and decreases average service time by 25% compared to traditional manual methods. The results confirm that the automation of the core order-to-fulfillment cycle enhances operational accuracy, improves staff productivity, and elevates the overall customer dining experience, providing a valuable proof of concept for digital transformation in the food service sector.
