DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPUTERIZED CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (CGPA) CALCULATOR
Abstract
The CGPA Calculator project is designed to address the growing need for students to manage their academic performance effectively in an increasingly competitive educational environment. This web-based application provides a user-friendly interface that allows students to calculate their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) with ease, supporting various grading scales such as the standard 4.0 scale, specialized 5.0 scales for law and other disciplines, and a 10.0 scale commonly used in certain educational systems.
The application enables users to input detailed course information, including credit hours and corresponding grades, facilitating accurate calculations of both semester and cumulative GPA. Additionally, the tool provides comprehensive insights into different grading systems, offering students a clear understanding of how their performance translates into academic success.
With an emphasis on responsiveness and accessibility, the design ensures a seamless experience across multiple devices, from desktop computers to mobile phones. The application also integrates feedback mechanisms that not only display CGPA and GPA results but also offer personalized comments based on performance, encouraging students to reflect on their academic journey.
By simplifying the CGPA calculation process, this project empowers students to actively track their academic progress, set realistic goals, and make informed decisions regarding their educational paths. Ultimately, the CGPA Calculator serves as a valuable resource for students striving to maximize their academic achievements and navigate the challenges of their educational pursuits.
