Abstract

The transition to university life can be a daunting experience for first-year students, often characterized by challenges in academic adaptation, social integration, and resource accessibility. This project documentation outlines the development of a comprehensive web platform specifically designed to support freshers in navigating their new academic and social environments. The platform aims to provide a centralized hub for essential resources, including academic materials, orientation guides, and peer collaboration opportunities. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the platform incorporated features such as an organized library of course materials, interactive discussion forums, and easyto-navigate orientation resources. The system employed the Waterfall software development methodology, utilizing Supabase for backend development and React for the frontend interface, ensuring a robust and user-friendly experience. The anticipated outcomes include improved academic performance, enhanced confidence in utilizing university resources, and increased social engagement among new students. This study highlights the significance of targeted technological solutions in fostering a supportive community that empowers freshers to succeed both academically and socially in their university journey.
