DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF MICROCONTROLLER SANITIZER DISPENSER USING IR TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research is a design and implementation of an automatic sensor Hand Sanitizer for hand washing. The work aimed to switch ON and OFF a Hand Sanitizer automatically without the need of turning it manually. It employs a passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor which has a maximum sensitivity of about 3m. The sensor detects the presence of a user within its viewing range and responds by giving a high at its output. The automatic sensor Hand Sanitizer incorporates a microcontroller (PIC16F628A) which was programmed using the ‘C’ programming language and turns ON the tap automatically whenever the sensor senses the user’s hand, and turns OFF when the hand is withdrawn.
