Abstract

This study examines the effect of labour turnover on productivity in a manufacturing company using NNPC, Abuja as a case study. Labour turnover poses significant challenges to organizational performances, including loss of skills, disruption of operations, and increased recruitment costs. The research employed both primary and secondary data, using a survey research design and quantitative analysis techniques. Findings revealed a significant inverse relationship between labour turnover and employee productivity. The study recommends employee retention strategies such as training, improved welfare, and career advancement opportunities to mitigate turnover and enhance productivity.
