ABSTRACT
This project deals with developing a social networking website for computer science Students of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic. It provides students with plat form for communication with their fellow students. In order to facilitate security a user privileges right was implemented. The system was implemented using HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT as front end with Mysql as backend database, a middle tier of Php (Hypertext Pre- processor) and a web browser as the front end client. Information will now be gotten first hand and at a much faster rate. The use of social networking website would be of great importance in providing accurate timely and detailed information about state of the department’s activities. This web site was developed with user friendliness and case of access in mind the social networking website can be used to affectively exchange ideas and communication with colleagues. The system was developed using Php(Hypertext Preprocessor) and Mysql. This language was chosen because of its syntax and easy features for developing online applications.
