DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF AUTOMATIC PAINT SPRAYING MACHINE
Abstract
The project focuses on the design and construction of a paint sprayer machine aimed at achieving efficient, uniform, and rapid application of paint on surfaces. Conventional methods of painting, such as brush and roller application, are time-consuming and result in uneven coating, especially on large surfaces. The developed machine employs a pressurized spraying system powered by an electric motor and compressor mechanism that atomizes paint particles for smooth, consistent coating. Locally sourced materials were used to reduce production costs, making the machine suitable for small-scale workshops and local industries. Performance evaluation shows that the paint sprayer provides good atomization, even coating, and reduces paint wastage by up to 30% compared to manual methods.
