Abstract

ABSTRACT The increasing integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education has significantly transformed teaching and learning globally. This project presents the design and implementation of an E-learning Management System tailored for educational institutions and organizations in resource-constrained settings. The system addresses challenges such as teacher shortages, inadequate infrastructure, and long travel distances that impede access to quality education in Nigeria. The system integrates features such as real-time online classroom interaction, automated attendance tracking, online assignment submission, and intelligent student engagement monitoring. Developed using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the platform supports multi-user roles (administrator, lecturer, and student) with secure authentication. The Agile development methodology guided the system’s iterative design, implementation, and testing phases, ensuring user-centered functionality and scalability. Evaluation results demonstrated that the system is functional, reliable, and portable across multiple devices and browsers. By enabling centralized course management, real-time feedback, and enhanced accessibility, this E-learning Management System offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to the limitations of traditional classroom learning, promoting inclusive and technology-driven education. Keywords: ICT, E-learning Management System, Online Education, Agile Development, Digital Learning.
