DEVELOPMENT OF SOLAR MOBILE REFRIGERATOR FOR COOLING SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project aims to design and develop a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and portable solar-powered refrigerator for preserving perishable items in off-grid and remote areas. The proposed system utilizes photovoltaic panels, battery storage, and a compact vapor compression refrigeration cycle to provide reliable cooling. The design incorporates mobility features, enabling easy transportation and deployment in rural markets, healthcare facilities, and disaster relief zones. This innovative solution addresses the critical need for sustainable cooling in areas with limited access to electricity, reducing food spoilage and improving public health. The project's findings demonstrate the technical feasibility and economic viability of solar mobile refrigeration, contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for clean energy, good health, and sustainable infrastructure.
Keywords: Solar refrigeration, mobile refrigerator, off-grid, remote areas, sustainable cooling, renewable energy.
