DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A MICROCONTROLLERBASEDNON-CONTACT DOORBELL SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This paper analyzes the design and construction of the existing doorbell by connecting an ultrasonic sensor to the doorbell, to make object detection possible. In this modified design a micro-controller is used to trigger the ultrasonic sensor when powered by a 9v battery. The significance and purpose of this work is to modify the existing doorbell in order to make the operation easier and more reliable, also to reduce the problems associated with slackness of the existing doorbell buttons. This project will provide automatic object detection to the doorbell by using an ultrasonic sensor which can cover a distance of 1cm-400cm. the whole system is controlled by a micro-controller Atmega328p, which triggers the ultrasonic sensor to enable detection alongside a buzzer, which is used to make sounds as it rings.
