Abstract

ABSTRACT In this project research work, egg fertilization is one of the key component to be considered in the poultry farms. An incubator is a device simulating avian incubation by keeping eggs warm at a particular temperature range and in the correct humidity with a turning mechanism or manually operated to hatch them. The common names of the incubator in other terms include breeding / hatching machines or hatchers, setters, and egg breeding / equipment. The hatching temperature is provided by 200Watts incandescent bulb. This locally incubator made from a wood a four corner box shape, Its works with a temperature sensor, placed insert inside the wooden box a plate of water placed inside to serves as water vapor to produce humidity. Also 2no of incandescent lamp is connected to serves as temperature and provides heat and is being control by a digital thermometer to ascertain the warmness require. By using the water and controlling fan, The breeding eggs to be hatch were place in woven wired in a wooden compartment. The wooden box had a heat sink that allowed heat to escape. The hatching temperature is 33degree and varies according to the egg type and takes 21 days for broilers breeding to be hatch. The breeding eggs has to turn at least 4 to 7 times daily until the eggs is hatch this is because the health egg is very important for the development of embryo within the eggs. There is need to control the temperature or humidity when it is high or low This research work use temperature measuring instrument to get the suitable temperature to the eggs. Here water is use and control fan install so that the humidity and ventilation is in good condition. Keywords; embryo, eggs, hatch, temperature, humidity.
