DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION PROOF OF WORK: SAVING ENERGY IN A DECENTRALISED SYSTEM
Abstract
The increasing rise of decentralized systems, particularly blockchain technology, has raised worries about the energy consumption caused by classical proof of work (PoW) processes. Implementation of a non linear proof of work (NLPow) approach for decreasing energy consumption while preserving the security and integrity of decentralized networks. This method optimizes computational efficiency and energy usage by incorporating a non linear function into the PoW algorithm. The research includes:
i. Constructing a prototype of the NLPoW system ii. Assessing its performance against standard PoW models iii. Examining its influence on network security
