DEVELOPMENT OF A TWO-HINGED ARCH APPARATUS
Abstract
This project presents the design, fabrication, and testing of a two-hinged arch apparatus aimed at
investigating the structural behavior and load distribution in hinged arches. The apparatus was
designed with a focus on accurately modeling the mechanics of two hinged arch systems, which
are commonly used in civil engineering structures such as bridges and roofs due to their
efficiency in load distribution.
