Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance and water intake parameters of broilers fed different levels of Parkia biglobosa stem bark (PBSB). Sixty (60) day old (Ross 308) broiler chicks were randomly assigned to four treatments with three replicate consisting of five (5) bird each in a completely randomized design. Treatment 1 contained 0% PBST, Treatment 2, 3, and 4 contained 0.2%,0.4%, and 0.6% per feed respectively. Clean feed and water were offered ad libitum throughout the experiment which lasted for 4 weeks during which data on growth performance, water intake were collected. Results revealed that PBST had a significant (p0.05) on the feed intake of the birds. There was no significant (p>0.05) difference in water intake.Keywords: Growth performance; Parkia biglobosa leaf extract; Hematology;
