ProjectUniversity of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-2763501031776359061THE INFLUENCE OF THE USE OF YOUTUBE ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF BIOLOGY STUDENTS IN UYO L.G.ADaniel Okon Sampson · BEd · Educational Technology (Biology)This study examines how YouTube affects biology students' academic performance in Uyo Local Government Area (LGA). A quasi-experimental design, namely the Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, is used in this study. All secondary school pupils enrolled in Uyo LGA during the 2023–2024 academic year are included in the study population. Using stratified sampling, 200 students were chosen for the sample, of which 100 were placed in the experimental group and 100 in the control group. The control group continued using traditional teaching methods without the assistance of YouTube, while the experimental group received biology-related educational content on the platform. Data on the academic performance of the pupils was collected using the Biology Achievement Test (BAT). To guarantee consistency in instruction between the experimental and control groups, lesson plans were created for the teachers. Experts from the Department of Science Education at the University of Uyo established the face and content validity of the BAT. Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to examine the data and evaluate the hypotheses. The study's conclusions show that students who used YouTube as a learning tool outperformed pupils who only used traditional teaching methods in terms of their academic performance. The findings from this study imply that to include YouTube in biology lessons can enhance students' academic achievement. In order to improve biology student learning outcomes, it is advised that teachers integrate YouTube and other digital resources into their pedagogical approaches.

ProjectChukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli, Anambra State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-2753723731776359037PROTEIN LEVEL OF PHASEOLUS VULGARIS AFTER 72HRS EXPOSURE TO 5% LOCAL DETERGENT (ARIEL)Peace Ujunwa Onwuanyi · BEd · BiochemistryABSTRACT<br> This study examines the effects of 72-hour exposure to a 5% Ariel detergent solution on the protein levels of *Phaseolus vulgaris* (common bean). Detergents like Ariel, which contain potent surfactants and other chemical agents, can disrupt cellular structures, leading to oxidative stress and the inhibition of protein synthesis in plants. After 72 hours of exposure, a significant reduction in the total protein content of *Phaseolus vulgaris* was observed. This decline is attributed to cell membrane damage, protein denaturation, and increased proteolytic activity. The findings emphasize the harmful impact of detergent contamination on plant health and protein content, raising concerns about the potential agricultural and ecological consequences of such exposure. The study underscores the importance of preventing detergent pollution in environments where crops are grown, as even low concentrations can severely affect plant vitality and nutritional quality.

ProjectYaba College of Technology · 2026 · NDN PRJ-2769574831776358897MODIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF 3.5KVA INVERTER IN MICROPROCESSOR LABORATORYVictor Chukwuka George · HND · Electrical Electronics EngineeringIn the light of prevailing power cuts in the country, there is a sudden rise of a need to come up with backup power solutions. The most common backup supply systems available on the market are Automotive Generator Sets (convert mechanical energy to electrical energy by means of burning fossil fuel) and UPS (Uninterrupted power supply). Even though all these backup supply systems turn to perform their said functions to some extent, they turn to pose some challenges. Some of the limitations of using generator as alternative or additional source of electricity are mostly noisy during its operation, which causes disturbances in the neighborhood. The carbon mono-oxide and the black oil from the generator pose threats to the environment as air and soil or water pollutant making it non-environmentally friendly, the work was carried out by making available all the required component, and assembles them according to the assembling diagram used. The result during the test shows that the devices was able to respond to its operation. In conclusion, the inverter system was assembled and tested.
