This study investigated the prevalence of intestinal parasites on selected fruits sold in Gombe Main Market, Gombe State, Nigeria. The aim was to determine the level of contamination and identify the types of intestinal parasites present on fruits commonly consumed by the public. A total of 150 fruit samples comprising orange (40), mango (40), watermelon (35), and pineapple (35) were randomly purchased from different vendors within the market. Each fruit sample was washed in sterile distilled water, and the washings were processed using sedimentation techniques. The resulting sediments were examined under a light microscope for the presence of parasite ova, cysts, and larvae. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine prevalence, while chi-square analysis was employed to test the association between fruit type and contamination level. The results showed an overall prevalence of 44%, with mango having the highest contamination rate (55%) and watermelon the lowest (34.3%). The parasites identified included Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm, Giardia lamblia, and Entamoeba histolytica. The chi-square test indicated no significant association between fruit type and contamination (p > 0.05), suggesting that all fruit types are vulnerable to contamination. The findings highlight the need for improved hygiene practices among vendors and consumers to reduce the risk of foodborne parasitic infections.

The increasing volume of vehicle registrations and inspections has made manual document management in Vehicle Inspection Agencies (VIA) inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to errors. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a Digital Car Document Management System aimed at improving the storage, retrieval, and management of vehicle-related documents within VIA operations.<br><br><br> <br><br><br> The system was developed to replace the traditional paper-based approach with a computerized platform that ensures secure, organized, and easily accessible records. It allows authorized personnel to upload, update, and retrieve vehicle documents such as registration details, inspection reports, and ownership records in real time. The system also incorporates features such as user authentication, data validation, and search functionality to enhance efficiency and data integrity.<br><br><br> <br><br><br> The methodology adopted includes system analysis, design, implementation, and testing using appropriate programming tools and database management systems. The developed system demonstrates improved performance by reducing document loss, minimizing processing time, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.<br><br><br> <br><br><br> In conclusion, the Digital Car Document Management System provides a reliable and effective solution for managing vehicle documents in VIA, thereby supporting better service delivery and decision-making processes. It is recommended that Vehicle Inspection Agencies adopt this system to modernize their operations and improve productivity.

This study investigated the effect of online marketing on the performance of small and medium scale enterprises (SMES) in Abia-State Nigeria. Specifically, the objectives of the study were to determine the effect of social media marketing, content marketing, search engine marketing and e- mail marketing on the performance of small and medium scale enterprises (SMES) in Anambra State. In line with the objectives of the study, research questions and hypotheses were formulated. Relevant conceptual, theoretical and empirical literatures were reviewed. This study was anchored on persuasion theory. Survey research design was adopted. The population of the study comprised owners of SMEs in Abia-State. Cochran formula was employed to obtain a sample size of 384.Questionnaire was employed as the instrument of data collection. The research questions wereanalyzed using percentages while the hypotheses were tested using multiple regression technique. The study found that social media marketing, content marketing, search engine marketing and e-mail marketing have significant effect on the performance of small and medium scale enterprises (SMES) in Abia-State. Based on the foregoing, the study concluded that online marketing have significant effect on the performance of SMES in Abia-State. The study recommended amongst others that SMEs should look at more ways through which they can place promotional advertisement for products that are personalized to suit the viewer's needs in the social media platform. ABSTRACT<br><br> This study examined the influence of co-parental conflicts on adolescents' learning experiences in Lagos State secondary schools. The research sought to determine the major types of parental covert conflicts that affect students' learning experiences, examine the relationship between co-parental conflicts and learning outcomes among students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, and assess gender differences in the effect of such conflicts. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The population consisted of junior and senior secondary school students in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, from which 150 respondents were selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analysed using Independent Samples t-test at a 0.05 level of significance.<br><br> Findings revealed that<br><br> co-parental conflicts significantly affect adolescents' learning<br><br> experiences by reducing concentration, academic engagement, and motivation. Students from conflict-prone homes performed worse academically than those from harmonious families. The study also established that parental availability is negatively influenced by domestic discord, thereby disrupting students' study schedules and supervision. Furthermore, gender differences were evident: male students were more adversely affected by co-parental conflict, while female students demonstrated greater resilience and coping abilities. The study concluded that co-parental conflict is a critical determinant of adolescents' academic performance, emotional well-being, and social adjustment. It recommended that parents adopt effective conflict-resolution strategies and maintain stable involvement in their children's academic lives. Schools should establish counselling and mentorship programmes to support students from conflict-affected homes, while policymakers should promote family-support initiatives that strengthen parental harmony and emotional stability among learners.

ABSTRACT<br> <br> This study utilizes a Vogel's Approximation method in solving the transportation problem of Aify Global aluminum company with a view to minimizing the total transportation cost and obtaining an optimal schedule or allocation using transportation cost data from the peak periods (January to July) in the 2023 production year which witnessed a fifty per cent (50%) rise in the cost of diesel (a major contributor to the transportation cost). The obtained data were analyzed and formulated into a transportation matrix with an incomplete supply of 1 trailer load each to 2 production factory after which the Vogel's Approximation was applied to generate optimal schedules, instead of 2 production factory having an incomplete supply, we now have 1 production factory with incomplete supply of 2 trailer load, that optimize the total transportation cost, generating a cost saving of 49,560 Naira when compared with the company’s current evaluation method.
