ProjectMoshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-29843110531777998824STUDENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM A CASE STUDY OF DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (MAPOLY)Emmanuel Chinonso Billy-Gbeti · HND · Computer ScienceIn academic institutions, the process of managing student projects is often done manually, leading to inefficiencies such as poor communication, misplaced files, and delays in supervision. This project was developed to solve the challenges of manual project supervision by providing a web-based Student Project Management System that automates submission, feedback, and monitoring of student academic projects. The objective of the system is to create a centralized platform where students, supervisors, and administrators can interact seamlessly, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. The system was implemented using React.js for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, and MongoDB as the database, with Redux Toolkit for efficient state management. The application allows students to upload proposals and reports, supervisors to review and provide feedback, and administrators to oversee all activities. Results from the implementation showed improved communication, faster feedback loops, and efficient data management compared to manual methods. In conclusion, the Student Project Management System effectively enhances project supervision by integrating automation, accessibility, and secure data handling into a unified web platform.

ProjectKaduna State University, Kaduna, Kaduna State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-2983394031777998765THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE ON MAIZE YIELD: A CASE STUDY OF CHIKUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF KADUNA STATE.Ephraim Daniel · BSc · GeographyAbstract

This study evaluated the impact of climate variability on maize production using 30 years-1994-2023-of meteorological and agricultural data in Chikun Local Government Area. The analysis of trend was done using the Mann-Kendall test and Sen's slope estimator, while the influence of climatic variables on maize output was analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results showed that the increase in minimum temperature was statistically significant at Sen's slope ≈ +0.025°C per year (Mann-Kendall p = 0.016); the maximum temperature showed a slight increase that was not significant, with a Sen's slope ≈ +0.024°C per year (p = 0.511). There was a modest upward trend in annual rainfall of about +6.0 mm per year, though it was statistically insignificant at p = 0.026. Maize production had increased strongly and significantly, with a Sen's slope ≈ +2,768 units per year (Mann-Kendall p < 0.0001), though the year-to-year variability remained high, with a CV of about 31%. Maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and rainfall together explained about 21.5% of the variation in maize production, as indicated by the regression model with an Adjusted R² of 0.125. The partial effects were positive for minimum temperature-β = +28,241, p = 0.070-and rainfall-β = +32.97, p = 0.112-but negative for maximum temperature-β = -9,374.54, p = 0.261. However, these estimates were not statistically significant. This study concludes that climate factors influence maize production in Chikun but account for only a modest share of the variability, indicating the role of non-climatic factors. It is recommended that there is a need to strengthen climate-smart practices, improve access to inputs, and enhance agricultural extension services.

ProjectModibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-29756117231777998711ASSESSMENT OF FACTORS MILITATING AGAINST THE EFFECTIVE TEACHING OF MARKETING IN SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN YOLA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF ADAMAWA STATESunkiya Shehu · BEd · B.SC. (ED) BUSINESS EDUCATIONABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to assess the factors militating against the effective teaching of Marketing in Senior Secondary Schools in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The teaching of Marketing in Senior Secondary Schools in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State has been facing several challenges that hinder its effectiveness. Despite the importance of Marketing as a subject in the curriculum, students' performance has been consistently low, and there seems to be a lack of practical application and understanding of marketing concepts. The population of this study consisted of all Marketing teachers and senior secondary school students who are currently offering Marketing as a subject in government-owned secondary schools across Yola South LGA. A total of 120 respondents were selected as the sample for the study. This sample comprised both teachers and students who are directly involved in the teaching and learning of Marketing in the selected schools. Findings reveal that student-related issues such as participation, interest, discipline, peer pressure, and especially regular attendance significantly hinder the teaching and learning process. Regular absenteeism emerged as the most critical barrier, profoundly disrupting classroom dynamics and educational outcomes. Teacher-related factors also play a pivotal role, with years of teaching experience and qualifications strongly affecting instructional effectiveness. Competency in lesson planning, classroom management, and the choice of teaching methods further contribute to successful Marketing education, although excessive teacher workload may slightly diminish teaching quality. The availability and utilization of teaching materials and resources, particularly Marketing textbooks and adequate time allocation, were highlighted as essential for effective learning. Conducive school environments and infrastructural support also positively influence student engagement and teaching outcomes. Additionally, parental and socio-economic factors, including the age and educational background of parents, their interest in their children's future, and provision of learning materials, were identified as significant contributors to students’ academic performance in Marketing. Collectively, these findings underscore the complex interplay between student behaviors, teacher qualifications, resource availability, and socio-economic influences in shaping the effectiveness of Marketing education in the region.
ProjectGregory University, Uturu, Abia State · 2026 · NDN PRJ-29802224031777998495EVALUATING THE ROLE OF BRICS IN PROMOTING MULTIPOLARITY AND GLOBAL SOUTH COOPERATIONPromise Christopher Offiong · BSc · International RelationsABSTRACT
vii
This study evaluates the role of BRICS in promoting multi-polarity and global
south cooperation. This became necessary due to the seeming unipolar
structure and Western-dominated institution in the international system. BRICS
nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have emerged as
significant actors in global power dynamics, reshaping the international milieu.
They have expressed a strong desire to participate in and act on global
economic governance. Has the grouping been able to achieve its goals as it set
out to do? To ascertain this, the study adopted descriptive research methods,
power transition theoretical framework, focus group discussants for its primary
data and content analysis of data. The findings among other things revealed
that BRICS is promoting multi-polarity with over fifty countries as its members
thus challenges traditional Western-dominated institutions while reducing
dependency on Western financial institutions. BRICS have demonstrated
economic credibility, with 19% of global exports and 16% of global imports in
2020. The study therefore recommended that BRCIS countries should
cooperate to achieve economic development, fight protectionalism, strengthen
cooperation in financial market and supervision for the benefit of the global
south.
