ProjectBenson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State · 2025 · NDN PRJ-3165116231764062592GENERATIVE AI FRAMEWORK FOR DETECTING/PREVENTING PASSWORD CRACKINGWisdom Chukwudubem Mekwunye · BSc · Computer ScienceABSTRACT
Password cracking remains a significant cybersecurity threat, necessitating advanced detection mechanisms to safeguard user authentication systems. This study presents a generative AI framework for detecting and preventing password cracking attempts, leveraging anomaly detection within the CRISP-DM methodology. Using a sampled subset of the RockYou dataset (100,000 passwords) and a synthetic login dataset (10,000 records), an Isolation Forest model was trained to identify anomalous login behaviors indicative of brute-force or dictionary attacks. The system, implemented as a Flask-based web application, achieved Accuracy: 0.90, Precision: 0.90, F1-Score: 0.79, and ROC-AUC: 0.88 on the testing set, demonstrating robust performance for a proof-of-concept. Deployed locally with Docker for portability, the framework offers scalability potential through cloud integration. Ethical considerations, including avoiding raw password storage, were prioritized. While effective, limitations include reliance on synthetic data and the model’s simplicity compared to advanced generative AI techniques. The study provides a lightweight, accessible solution for password security, with recommendations for incorporating GANs and real-world data in future iterations.

ProjectFederal Polytechnic, offa, Kwara State · 2025 · NDN PRJ-136547131764062071WAREHOUSE DEVELOPMENT DYNAMICS IN OFFA: IDENTIFICATION, DETERMINANT AND SUPPLY RATESAishat Muritala · HND · Estate managementABSTRACT

Warehousing activities involve the storage of goods on a large-scale in a systematic and orderly manner and making them available conveniently when needed. The research investigates the trends of warehouse development in Offa, Kwara State. Like in most other developing countries and major cities, warehouse development in the study area remains a difficult task, especially with its ever increasing population. The data collected were analyzed descriptive and with weighted mean score. Based on the research questions in this study, the result showed that the demand and supply dynamics, economic factors and geographic location are the factors affecting rate of supply of warehouses in Offa, Kwara State. It was also revealed that 1 warehouse was built in 2017, another in 2018; followed by 2 warehouse structures built in 2020. The last in the series was built in 2021 to account for the five (5) structures existing in the study area. Lastly, the findings show that the owners (operator) start using the warehouse immediately after they were built which are 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that since location impacts the availability of warehouses, there should be areas with good connectivity and easy accessibility to people. Economic stability and growth in industries can leads to increase in demand for warehouse space. The availability of suitable land for warehouse development and reasonable cost of land acquisition can equally impact warehouse supply. A favorable regulatory environment supporting commercial development can encourage warehouse construction and increase supply. The availability and quality of infrastructure such as roads, utilities, and telecommunication can impact warehouse supply while fluctuations in market demand for goods and services can influence the need for warehouse space.

ProjectAuchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State · 2025 · NDN PRJ-4709510831764061929I ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF BACTERIA ASSOCIATED WITH VAGINAL DISCHARGE AMONG THE POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS, AUCHI POLYTECHNIC. AUCHIZainab Marvel Ahmed · HND · BSLT(biological science laboratory technology)ABSTRACT
Normal vaginal flora contains a wide range of microorganisms. Bacterial vaginosis BV is the main reason of vaginal discharge. Many gram positive and gram negative rods i.e. E.coli, Staphylococcus, Proteus, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas spp. are major contributors in bacterial vaginosis. Aim: The present study was conducted to elucidate the frequency of various bacteria in high vaginal swabs and sensitivity pattern of bacteria to antibiotics that are currently used Material and Methods used are a total of 6 High vaginal swabs (HVS) which were collected from patients presenting with symptoms of vaginal discharge. Swabs were inoculated on blood and Chocolate agar. After overnight incubation plates were examined for growth, colonial morphology, final confirmation was done on the basis of biochemical testing. Antibiotic sensitivity testing was done by (modified Kirby-Bauer’s) disc diffusion method using amikacin (30μg), ampicillin(10μg), amoxicillin(10μg),) clavulanic acid, imipenem(10μg), ciprofloxacin(10μg), and cefixime(5μg). After overnight incubation plates were examined to read the susceptibility zone. Results showed that highly sensitive antibiotics against bacteria were imipenem (27mm), and Ciprofloxacin (28mm) whereas least affective antibiotics against gram negative rods were penicillins, amikacin due to indiscriminate use of antibiotics. In conclusion, high prevalence of gynecological infections demands that the patients who have vaginosis must be investigated regularly and carefully through culture and identification of causative bacteria. Emergence of antibiotic resistance must be controlled in order to avoid improper use, frequent abuse, insufficient dosages, trouble-free availability of antibiotics and treatment schedule must be designed subsequent to proper laboratory investigations.

ProjectBaze University, Abuja, Fct · 2025 · NDN PRJ-4962721431764061921DECRIMINALIZATION OF ATTEMPTED SUICIDE IN NIGERIA;THE ROLE OF THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2021Chizaram Oluchukwu Ezeudenna · LLB · LawThe study discussed the decriminalization of attempted suicide in Nigeria, with

regards to the provisions of the Mental Health Act 2021. It provides among others the

conceptual, historical and theoretical understanding of the topic vis-a-vis the

evolution of the Nigerian criminal legal framework on attempted suicide. It also

examined the implication of the existing criminal laws on the implementation of the

decriminalizing intent contained in the provisions of Mental Health Act 2021. The

study in arriving at its findings utilized the doctrinal method by examining the

findings of existing authors on the subject of attempted suicide and its

decriminalization. It also, as primary sources, examined the legal framework

applicable to the offence of attempted suicide, with key focus on the Mental Health

Act which called for a less punitive approach. The study at the summation of its

discussions identified that attempted suicide, notwithstanding the provisions of the

Mental Health Act 2021 is still substantively criminalized in Nigeria. More so, this

study also finds that regardless of the Mental Health Act 2021 and its remarkable

efforts towards decriminalizing attempted suicide in Nigeria, the existence of other

frameworks like the Criminal Code and the Penal Code law of Northern Nigeria

substantially impede its adequate implementation towards this end.
